Make plans to attend the Wednesday, SEPTEMBER 11TH C-PAB meeting at West Valley LAPD and learn more about the Councilwoman that represents a KEY Los Angeles City Council District in the San Fernando Valley and her efforts to make our Community safer for everyone. Councilwoman Nury Martinez is the President Pro-Tempore of the Los Angeles City Council. As one of
the only 2 women elected out of 18 Los Angeles city offices, she is the First Latina to ever hold a leadership position on the City Council and the first Latina to hold the position of President ProTempore.
At City Hall, Councilwoman Martinez leads the Council on major initiatives such as fighting human trafficking, empowering women, and reducing the negative impact of those who would pollute our environment. In addition to serving as the President Pro-Tem, she is the Chair of the Energy, Climate Change and Environmental Justice committee, Vice Chair of the Transportation Committee and also a member of the Immigrant Affairs, Civil Rights, and Equity Committee, Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations Committee.
In her current role as a member of the Public Safety Committee, she is dedicated to addressing the sex trafficking and prostitution problem in the area as well as eliminating the illegal marijuana dispensaries and removing the blight that attracts crime. She is also a staunch advocate and supporter of our West Valley Volunteer Community Patrol (VCP) group.
Plan to attend our LAPD West Valley Area C-PAB Community meeting on September 11th to meet, hear and speak with the Councilwoman that represents the diverse, vibrant and thriving communities of Council District 6 including Van Nuys, Sun Valley, Panorama City, Sun Valley, Lake Balboa, Arleta, North Hollywood and North Hills East.
