New Senior Lead Officer (SLO) Named for Lake Balboa Community

After several months of search and interviews, West Valley LAPD has named a new Senior Lead Officer (SLO) who will replace retired SLO Steve Olivares. Veteran Officer Hugo Fuentes will officially assume the 10A39 patrol area effective in October. Officer Fuentes is a 10+ year LAPD veteran and brings extensive and successful experience while serving as a patrol officer and working closely with West Valley Vice, Gangs, and Narcotics units while building a record of significant accomplishment.

As Senior Lead Officer for our Lake Balboa community, Hugo brings wealth of knowledge, energy, experience and a successful track record of quality of life problem solving that will be welcomed by all Lake Balboa residents and stakeholders. Officer Fuentes now joins SLO Rosa Para-Smith and will be a powerful law enforcement 1-2 combination working for the safety and well being for all Lake Balboa Residents.

Please join me in Congratulating Officer Fuentes on his promotion and new assignment. Plan to welcome him in person at our Lake Balboa Neighborhood Council Meeting and during West Valley LAPD Officer Appreciation Day in November. Send Hugo an email to welcome him to our community at: 40093@lapd.online
