We held our 4th annual Lake Balboa Movie in the Park on Saturday, May 19, at Louise Park in Lake Balboa, joined by neighbors, friends, Gault St. Elementary School, Galaxy of Comics, Councilwoman Nury Martinez’s office and Asemblymember Adrin Nazrian’s office. The LBNC organizes this event each year to bring our Lake Balboa stakeholders together to meet one another, find out about city services, and create a larger sense of community.
This year, we brought back a previously popular giveaway: glow-in-the-dark necklaces! We also held an opportunity drawing with several LBNC swag sets, classes from House of Champions, and movie gift cards generously provided by our event co-sponsor, FilmLA. The cool evening made for a brisk viewing of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but our moviegoers came prepared with blankets of all types to keep their families nice and warm.
Special thanks to Lake Balboa Senior Lead Officer Smith for joining us and bringing the Police Cadets to help with set-up and crowd control.
